The story of a young girl Ellen (EVERITT) who moves in with her estranged alcoholic father (WELLINGTON).

She joins a family with a new stepmother and two teenage stepsisters. But this family is long away from being anything from perfect. Dealing with an alcoholic father, she soon finds out that her new stepmother is just as bad as her father, which ends in a physical fight.

Can they overcome the problems so many families face? Or will Ellen be left right where she was in the first place, alone and next to nothing.
