World War II - Victory In North AfricaDuring the first years of the war the Nazi’s were considerably successful in North Africa.
However, the tide turned when the British, American and French troops combined their forces after America had joined the war.
Therefore, the German troops were driven out of Africa by every other battle they lost from 1942 to the final crucial fight in Tunis.
The allies intended to launch a naval attack at the Germans from three sides.

1942: In North Africa American troops participate in the warfare for the first time - 250,000 German and Italian soldiers are captured. Having overpowered the Germans the sea routes are free to attack Germany.
In the beginning, the Germans are able to ward the allies’ aggresses off.
However, they are eventually pushed back to the coast until they are completely beaten.
